About Me!
My name is Bethany Bland and this is year #13 at Avalon. Avalon is a wonderful school and community. I love education! You never stop learning!
A little about myself: I was born and raised in Ennis, Texas.
I have been married for almost 12 years and we have a little boy named Jeffrey and one dog. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking, going to Galveston, collecting lighthouses, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and differently designed crosses. Between the dog Sugars; my husband, my son, and school, my time is pretty well spent and full. Life is never dull!! My favorite subjects are Math and Technology. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M Commerce at Navarro.
My philosophy of education is simple, every student deserves the very best you, as a teacher can give, and it is the teacher’s job to help each student reach their full potential. I have high expectations for this school year and know that students can reach them with guidance and perseverance. I believe that we must work together: the school, the family, and the student to achieve these goals. Together we can do it!
