Sign-Up on MySchoolBucks for Lunch Payments!

MySchoolBucks.com has replaced the MyNutriKids website for student's lunch accounts. Parents and guardians can sign up at the MySchoolBucks website and prepay for school breakfasts and lunches for their children. This is fast and simple to pre-pay with credit/debit or Paypal! ELEMENTARY AFTERNOON PICK UP

The growth in enrollment has been dramatic over the past few years, particularly this year. With the added growth in enrollment has come an increase in traffic. The direction of the pick-up lane, as it is currently being used, is no longer practical to accommodate the increased traffic. The back-up is so great that cars are at a stand-still up onto Highway 34.
The morning drop-off plan will not change.

Veterans Day Program ~ Monday, November 11

The annual Veterans Day program, sponsored by the Student Council, will be held Monday, November 11, in the Multipurpose Center. The program will begin at 10:00 a.m. All veterans of Avalon and of the Avalon ISD family are welcome to attend so that we may recognize you during our ceremony! A reception will be held for our guests after the program.

Avalon ISD "Fall Festival" ~ Friday, October 18!

Plans are being finalized and Avalon ISD is ready to host another great FALL FESTIVAL on Friday, October 18! The festival will be held in the area behind the high school building from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. (School will dismiss at 1:00 on this date - Friday the 18th) Food, games and fun for everyone! Project ExTRA begins 10th Year on September 23!

The Project ExTRA Afterschool Program will begin its 10th year on Monday, September 23! Project ExTRA has served an average of 80-100 students per year with after school activities, snacks and homework assistance. Students in 1st grade may attend if an older sibling in grades 2-8 also attends. Congratulations on 10 great years!
