- Read the poems, “A Box of Crayons,” “What Story is This?” and “The Ticket.” Fill in the blanks as you read.
- Read over the pages “Types of Sentences” then watch Brain PopJr “Types of Sentences” https://jr.brainpop.com/readingandwriting/sentence/typesofsentences/
- Then, use the page “I Spy Sentences” to find declarative, interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative sentences in your poems. Write the complete sentences with punctuation in the blanks.
- Watch the Brain Pop Jr video about Poems. Then brainstorm ideas on the "brainstorm" page. Next, complete the sentences about your senses! Finally, write out your spring poem on the sunflower writing page.

- Use the Food Chain page with the pictures as a guide to help you understand what are food chains, producers, consumers, etc. Next, create your own food chain (you can use the pictures or draw your own) and write at least 1 sentence that tells me what is happening in that step of the food chain.
- Read the “Desert Food Chain” and answer the questions, then “Ocean Food Chain” and answer the questions below it.

- Main Idea and Details (Ice Cream page) use the ice cream page to help you understand what “main idea and details” are; then read the story about bees. Write the details and main idea in the correct blanks. Use the complete sentence from the story.
- Now read the “Soccer” story. Use the same definitions as on the ice cream page to help you complete the paper.
- Sentence/Fragment pages. Use the “Happy Face sheets” to help you understand what makes a complete sentence and what is a fragment. Then on the following pages (with the boxes) circle in the complete sentences and put an X on the fragments.
