Dyslexia - Special Education

Students who exhibit dyslexia tendencies will be referred to the Ellis County Shared Services for dyslexia testing. Testing will be done on-site. Students who qualify for dyslexia services will be placed in a pull-out program in order to receive services to assist with the child's educational program. 

 

 

 The state's 2021 Dyslexia Handbook is available at the link below.  This document reviews some of the major changes to help families understand what to expect if they have a child with dyslexia, suspect their child may have dyslexia, or have a student in a grade where dyslexia screening happens for all students.
