Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-up ~ Friday, March 2!

Is your little one ready for Pre-K or Kindergarten next year? This Friday, March 2, will be the Round-Up registration day for Avalon ISD for children ages 3- 5 years old.

Children must be in one of these age groups by September 1st, 2018 to be eligible for the next school year. Each child’s hearing and vision will be checked.

Parents need to bring immunization records, birth certificates and social security cards to the Round-Up. In order for the school to plan properly for the next year, it is important that all eligible children attend the Round-Up. We will also be filling out pre-enrollment paperwork necessary for your child to enter the next school year. (cont.)

Calendar Minutes

Avalon ISD built extra minutes into the school calendar in case of needed extra days such as for inclement weather. We will use those extra minutes for the Fall Festival early release day, the full day inclement weather day and the delayed opening we have taken so far this year. At this time, and pending any additional inclement weather or situations affecting school days, Avalon ISD will not be utilizing the bad weather days on March 9 or April 2. The school will be closed on those days (as of today).
