Avalon Football Camp for 6-12 ~ July 20-22

Avalon Football Camp 2017
Coach Blake McCulloch, Avalon Alumni and Wide Receivers Coach at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, will be hosting a football camp Thursday, July 20 through Saturday, July 22 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The camp is for incoming 6th graders through incoming Seniors and open to all the surrounding communities. The cost will be $25.00 and will include the three day camp, t-shirt, and a snack each day. Summer Programs Begin Wednesday, June 7

Summer programs for Avalon ISD students will begin Wednesday, June 7. Summer school is scheduled for June 7 - June 29. It will be held Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The Summer Free Lunch program for Avalon children up to the age of 18 will be held from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, June 7-29. Ages 3-19 years eat free.

The Avalon United Way Recreation Program will begin June 7 from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday in the J.P. Griffith gymnasium.

8th Year - "Best High School" Bronze Awarded to Avalon HS

Congratulations to Avalon High School for its designation as one of the nation's "Best High Schools" by the U.S. News and World Report! 2016-2017 School Supply Lists Available!

Avalon ISD has posted the school supply lists for the 2016-2017 school year on the school website at the link below. Please note that 4th and 5th grade are on one page and the cumulative supply lists for grades 7-12 is a 2-page file. These lists have also been sent to Wal Mart in Ennis and Waxahachie and should be available at the store in their display.

2016-2017 Registration for ALL Students Pk3-12

Avalon ISD registration for all students in grades PK3-12 for the 2016-2017 school year was held this past week. The parents of any student who was not registered are to call the high school office and arrange a time to come in with your student. All students need to have new ID pictures/cards created for the new school year. Forms that may be completed beforehand and brought to registration are available online at the school website page under the PARENTS button at the top.. There are additional forms and information you will receive when you come in to register. As of August 11, all classes are closed and only students who live in the district may register.

Back to School Fair 2016! Wednesday, August 3!

The 2nd annual Avalon ISD Back-to-School Fair will be held Wednesday, August 3, in the J.P. Griffith gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We have assembled another great selection of organizations, vendors/business associates and parents from the surrounding area to attend and offer information, assistance, free hair cuts and even some goodies for our students. Carter Blood Care will have its mobile unit parked at the First Baptist Church of Avalon for our first blood drive of the year! MyTee Sweet Snow Cones will be on site for anyone wanting a nice refreshment from the heat. This is also the first day of registration for all Avalon students in grades PK-3 through 12th grade!
