Annual Food Drive November 14-Dec 2!

The Avalon annual food drive will be held November 14-18! Each grade level is assigned a product to donate and the cumulative donations are divided into gift boxes for our Christmas families. If you know of someone or a business that would like to participate, please show them our list of donation needs and have them bring to the school! Let's make this a generous holiday season!

Veterans Day Program ~ Friday, Nov 11, 10:30 a.m.

We invite all of our Avalon community to our Veterans Day program this Friday, November 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Multipurpose Center! If you have served or are an active duty service member, please email Cindy Cashion, Student Council sponsor, to let her know that you will be in attendance so that we may honor you in person!

Trunk or Treat! Friday, October 28

The Avalon Student Council is sponsoring Trunk or Treat! for all Avalon students and friends of the Avalon community on Friday, October 28, from 6-8 p.m. on the MPC parking lot. In case of rain, everything will be moved inside the J.P. Griffith gymnasium. Come out and have a safe and fun time!

It's Fall Festival - Friday, Sept 30

The annual Avalon Fall Festival will be held Friday evening, September 30, on the old school baseball field, JP Griffith gym and cafeteria from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Come out for fun games, prizes, great food and a wonderful family night!

2022 Avalon Blanket on Sale Now until Sept 30!

The NEW 2022 Avalon blanket is now on sale until Sept 30! This woven design is of the same warm thread as our previous three designs of years past and is a beautiful keepsake. Great for families, outside activities, cozy moments at home, Christmas gifts or graduation! Orders will be taken until September 30 and each blanket is $45.00. Checks should be made to Avalon School. All proceeds to go the Dr. David Del Bosque Orange and White College Scholarship Fund. Order form available at Policies/Schedules/Forms on the website.

There are a lot of benefits to filling out a Lunch Application !

Lunch application now available for 2022-2023

Free school lunches and breakfasts offered to all for students in eligible schools for the past two years, regardless of income, came to an end at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

All parents are asked to complete the 2022-2023 application for Free or Reduced Lunches for all students and bring to the school during onsite registration July 27 and July 28. Applications will also be available at the school.

State and federal programs consider the number of completed applications from families for grants and other programs. That is why it is imperative that all parents return a completed application.
